But for those who want to take their pets out and about the Metro, it can be hard to find a place to sit down and eat that accommodates both humans and animals. If this is something that you have trouble with, never fear! We’ve prepared a list of pet-friendly restaurants that you can try with your four-legged companions.

1. Bark Central

We start off our list with none other than Bark Central, which describes itself as “Manila’s first indoor dog park and café.” Bark Central, found in Eastwood Mall in Libis, Quezon City, is the perfect dog-friendly restaurant that allows you and your furbaby to eat, make friends, and have a little bit of fun all at the same time. It also sells dog treats and little toys, in case you want to treat your dog after a fun day of play.

2. Grumpy Puppy

Anybody can feel a bit under the weather if they’re hungry and tired, and the same goes for your dog! If you want to sit down and treat your pets to a filling meal after a long day, try the Grumpy Puppy in BF Homes, Las Piñas. This is the first dog-friendly café in the South, and offers delicious comfort food for both humans and dogs.

3. Whole Pet Kitchen: Pet Deli & Bark-ery

 

Since pets unfortunately don’t live as long as humans, you can’t help but want to make sure that your pet receives the best care possible. This is especially true for what they eat. If you’re a health buff, or just want to treat your dogs to homemade pet food that’s fresh and organic, try Whole Pet Kitchen in San Juan. They use carefully-picked, pet-safe ingredients, and even sell homemade dog food in case you can’t find the time to swing by their store!

4. The Paw Club

If you’re taking your dog out for a run in Manila, try stopping for a meal at the Paw Club in SM Mall of Asia. They serve lunch, dinner, drinks, and coffee, and also offer grooming and board services for your pets! Their restaurant offers soft flooring for your pets to rest on, and they allow dogs and cats to hang out at the tables. They’re also one of the few places in the Metro that offer boarding services in case you’re out of the country for a while, so make sure you look them up.

Respite in Scout Fernandez is a great place to do just that, with the added bonus of making space for your furry friends, too. They offer cookies, coffee, and snack foods, and are also open for events if you need somewhere to celebrate a special occasion.

6. Rustic Mornings by Isabelo

 

If you and your pet are early risers and love good food, try out Rustic Mornings by Isabelo in Marikina City. This restaurant is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and the garden setting and peaceful ambiance make it an excellent place for you and your furbaby to sit back and start the day off on the right foot. They serve breakfast, lunch, and coffee, and your dogs will be sure to enjoy the different sights and smells in the garden around them.

Smokin’ Pig offers what they call “soul food,” slow-cooked meats an comfort food that will be sure to satisfy any hungry tummy in the Metro. Commune is another great spot to relax and unwind with your furry friends. This café in Poblacion proudly serves Philippine coffee, comfort food, and light meals. The ambiance is no-frills and restful, just perfect if you and your pet need a breather in the middle of the day. Cats, dogs, and all kinds of four-legged friends are welcome here. For a fun but relaxed atmosphere for dinner, try Black Olive in Capitol Commons, Pasig. They offer a variety of different cuisines that still cater to the Filipino palate, and best of all, they allow pets. For the months of July and August in 2018, Black Olive even made available a special Black Olive Pooch Menu, so that your furry friends can chow along with you. This was a limited promo only, but maybe with enough interest they’ll consider bringing it back!

Their BGC branch serves breakfast meals, and is pet-friendly, so your furry friends are welcome to sit down with you as you dig in.
